Our son, Mike and his wife Lori, and our grandson, Greg arrived in late last night, so they slept in this morning and came to our campground to relax a bit, and see what the plan is for this week.  We feel they are here only until Friday, so we'll do whatever they want to do, and we still have a few days to do what we want.  We are pretty much on the same page, anyway, as they like to hike, and do the outdoors-sort-of-things, so we'll have a great time.  We decide to take the mid-afternoon drive to Sand Beach and it was a great decision.  Most people get going early out here, and we might still be on central time, so the traffic wasn't bad at all, and there were less people to deal with, also.  We even found a parking space today!  We checked out Sand Beach and decided that 50 to 60 degree water was not inviting, so we took the hiking trail to Thunder Hole, where the wave comes in and blows up in this tiny spout.  It was low tide, so it wasn't too dramatic, but we might hit it on a high tide day.  The walk did us all good!  We worked up an appetite, and we ventured into Bar Harbor and ate at the Thirsty Whale.  The food was excellent!  We had a lobster roll, which is like a hot dog on a bun, only it was lobster and crab meat, and it wasn't quite like a bun at all!  Yum!  We also had a small bowl of New England clam chowder and that, too, was very delicious.  We'll have to do a lot of biking and hiking after we leave this area!  We have a plan for tomorrow, so the adventure continues.

A lobster 'roll' and New England Clam Chowder was our evening meal, and it was delicious!
